BI’s Article search uses Boolean search capabilities. If you are not familiar with these principles, here are some quick tips.

To search specifically for more than one word, put the search term in quotation marks. For example, “workers compensation”. This will limit your search to that combination of words.

To search for a combination of terms, use quotations and the & symbol. For example, “hurricane” & “loss”.

A. Greig Woodring, president and CEO of Reinsurance Group of America Inc., has been elected chairman of the International Insurance Society.

Mr. Woodring, who has served as IIS chairman-elect since January, succeeds Norman R. Sorensen, former chairman and CEO of Principal International, who has served as IIS Chairman since 2010.

The election took place during the IIS’ annual meeting in Seoul, South Korea, on Sunday.

“Greig has not only embraced, but has already helped mold the society's vision for the future,” said Michael J. Morrissey, IIS President and CEO, in a statement. “2014 will be a particularly significant year for the IIS as we will celebrate our 50th annual seminar in London. We are delighted and proud to have Greig take this leadership role.”

The New York-based IIS’ mission is to facilitate cross-border exchange of ideas, development of global personal networks and to initiate practical and original research addressing critical issues facing the industry.
